Control V - Privacy
1. We're using Google Analytics to learn how the users in general are using the website and how to improve Control V. We don't have any information about specific user or a specific IP. Just a generic information. E.g. what are the browser resolution of our users. How much time users spending on the website. For which countries there are visits. How many unique users are visiting the website. To get accurate information, we must you cookies. I will explain. If one user from United States is visiting the website ten times, and two other users from China visiting the website one time. We may think that most of the users are from United Stated while it's not correct. So to identify repeating visits from the same users Google Analytics allocate to each user a randomly unqiue id. This id doesn't identify the user itself in any way, jsut to help find repeating visits fro the same machine.
2. We use Google AdSense for displaying ads. Google doesn't share with us any information about who visits, or what the users did before visiting the website. We only knows trivial things a summary of how many clicks, how many pageviews by all the users by a specific day. But Google using their own Cookie to track you. It's mean that they known what you searched in Google, they know about other websites that you visits that has ads, and they now know that you visit this website. They using this information to show you ads. By the way, they not merge the data with your personal information. So they just know that someone who have interested in a specific category (because he searched or visit speicifc websites), to show him related ads. The truth is that some publishers may target users by using personal data. E.g. user can upload list of emails or phones, and ask Google to display ads to whole those users.
3. If you login to Control V (ctrl.v). We collecting your email and name from Google Single Sign On. Then every image you upload and share we attach it to your email address. The reason we doing so is that you will be able to see an history of all your uploads. If you wish we can delete any kind of information that we have related to you. We don't use your information in any other way, we don't sell it, or giving to any one. It's stoed in a safety MySQL Database in a Docker container behind a secure SSH server in Google Data Center.
